if your looking to remove vocals two major ways I have found are
1. center channel extraction, its easy but not always effective.
2. is spectral isolation. there are few out there but ADX Trax pro 3 looks to be the most promising to me.
It can be very time consuming, Trax pro 3 has some added features to help cut down on the amount of work you have to do.

I don't believe VVC will remove vocals completely last I saw just -12db to +12db
Trax pro3 is only available for mac right now. If you do end up using either of these or find something you like let me know.
