    Reason 5

Anyone on here utilize Reason for their production?

And in addition, anyone on here use Abeltons Enslaving feature?

I sometimes use reason 4 mate but I like sticking to cubase or fl most of the time! Its the different layout and tricky(ish) workflow tools that put me off!
I keep trying to do cubase and fl things in it and they just dont happen! I do love the 'wire the gear up yourself' bit! I find it better to rewire to cubase and use the midi tracks in cubase to control whatever synths i have loaded up in reason. As for live.....never used it m8.Sorry!

True, its just that reason sucks at having acapellas added to it, so i have to use Abelton live to use them. I feel you about being different and tricky. Thats the same reason why i cant use fl or cubase. :-/ lol

I suppose its a case of one mans food is another mans poison! Reason is a nifty little program,I just know a lot of guys that dislike the built in effect units sound charactaristics.Thats why cubase and the such like are good, because you can use so many other universal vsts and effects.I dunno about ableton but when you use cubase as a rewire host its possible to route seperate reason channels to cubase and process them with your effects etc from there (which is handy!) but ive seen a lot of guys swear by exporting everything to audio files then beginning their mixdown. Its hard to know whats best, just stick to whatever works best for you!!!!

yea def! that sounds awesome about cubase though. being able to do the rewiring. i might look into that cuz i like abelton, just that i use it for one thing and that is for vocals. which reason doesnt support.

^ Yes you can. Use NX-XT for .wav samples.

exactly, or make a .rex file (via ReCycle) and use that in a Dr. OctoRex

personally, i wouldn't trade the Reason/Logic combination i use for anything

You could also use KONG for wavs and chop them up to your liking =)

I enjoy using reason 5, then bouncing out all the parts into stems and mixing in another DAW. I bounce between different DAWS for different sounds... for a warm sound I typically will jump to Logic 9... but for a clean straight forward sound I'll use Cubase 5.
