Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to producing electronic music. (I am a guitarist) I've been messing around in ableton for awhile and get the general vibe of the program but, when I tried to put a acapella over an drumbeat I programmed it would not sync with it properly.
Is there a way to easily put them in sync?
A detailed explanation would be greatly appreciated. Will +rep :$
Ableton can honestly be pretty crazy when it comes to production. Reason is complicated as well. But it is pretty good if you want to build on real instruments. But also keep in mind that ableton can be enslave reason. which makes it so that u can use both as one. So once you get comfortable enough with it, check it out.
Alright, thanks :)
I've got the sync with the beat but...
for remixes; does it have to be in the same key? it might be a stupid question but.. i have no idea, cus while covering or "remixing" with the guitar you generally have to stay in the same key as the song and match the notes to the vocal key as well and create harmony with vocals + backing. Will this be the same electronically remixing?
You definitely want to have everything in key bud! or else its not going to sound right, Whether its electronic or not the vocals should almost always be in key with the rest of the song or else they just wont sit well together.
