It wasn't that there was necessarily anything wrong with any tracks that didn't make the cut. It's just that others scored higher based on the judging criteria.

One more point of clarification, @Mr3…Does this mean using only two songs, but including instrumental elements from both and vocals from both is acceptable? Or are you looking for a minimum of four songs used?
