We have been open a little over 6 months now and im posting this thread and poll to ask you members what you feel we can improve on? A recent thread has brought this query to light. Some feel strongly about the rep system we have active and it is here for a reason and i will always support it. Changes to it however can and may be made.

Please spend a minute and answer the poll, if any other problems are on your mind or ideas on how we can improve then please feel free to comment now.

agree with sunny the auto player is a tad annoying , the rep system in my opinion needs to be claryfied more , so people can see where they gain or lose reps and maybe a weekly comp to entice users to win more reps . a suggestion

well competitions are still in progress, i dont feel enough people are getting involved :( the rep system can be done, ill just need to get some help coding it properly. the autoplay on LazyRadio was just an idea.. ill take it off.

One of the problems to note about the current rep system. Leechers can upload fake links or just make posts in the downloads section, then use the rep to download what they need before the admin has a chance to see the fake links and remove the posts.

Graham, that is a perennial problem in any site one has to maintain. There is no systematic way of weeding those out. The only way is thru active help the users provide so that the admins/mods can act upon it swiftly. If you do have a suggestion or a programatic way of solving this then do let us know.

As I've said already... recoding to the old rep system would solve the problem. The person posting wouldn't recieve rep untill someone posts a reply to download. This gives the admins more time to check the post and remove it if fake.

DoA coded the version of the 3.x, 4.x (what we use) is totally re-coded as is most of the big software upgrades from VBulletin. Im not an advanced coder and this type of script isnt up on the VBulletin.org forums as its never needed. I'll keep trying during the week to get thsi matter sorted. In comment to fake files and links, we cant prevent it from happening, just if we catch any of this then they will be issued with a permanent IP ban from our servers.
