Extracting stems from .stem files ?

    Hello,

How can i extract the stems from a .stem mp4 file other than playing it in traktor and recording each stem individually ? Is there a programme or something ? When i drop into my daw (ableton) i just get the one solo track.

This should have been a question for google but strangely enough nobody seems to be asking this question anywhere else ?

    Thanks

I don't believe an mp4 file can hold more than 1 individual track. therefor it has already been mixed down.
If any of my links are down please PM so I can re-upload them.

I'm not sure why there is an 8 minute video on this, use mkvmerge, done, nothing else to it, no hacks, just demuxing files

Wrong. Mp4 files can hold multiple (audio) tracks. Mp4 is just a container, just like mkv & avi.

using mkvnix might be right, there's also a YT thumbnail with audacity in it.
