SoundCloud Partners Up With Native Instruments, Serato, Virtual DJ, Legalizes Mixes!
It seems that Soundcloud is out of the red, as recently several partnerships were announced.
First of all, at ADE last weekend SoundCloud announced that its entire catalog of 190 million tracks will be made streamable in several DJ packages. Native Instruments, Serato, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes, and Hercules are all part of the deal with their respective DJ packages. The one clear omission in this list is Rekordbox from Pioneer DJ.

Spotify hit with $1.6 billion copyright lawsuit
Spotify is being sued by Wixen Music Publishing for an eye-watering $1.6 billion over copyright infringement, it has been revealed.
Wixen Music Publishing looks after the rights of countless artists including Tom Petty, Neil Young, Weezer, the Black Keys, Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, and many more.
The lawsuit accuses the Swedish streaming giant of using songs found in Wixen’s extensive catalog without the necessary licenses.

Tomorrowland set to replace iconic Opera Stage
This summer's Tomorrowland will see one of the festival's most iconic stages, the Opera Stage, being replaced with a new stage dubbed Amicorum Spectaculum, it has been revealed today.
The Opera Stage has been a permanent fixture at Tomorrowland since 2014 and has played host to the likes of Paul Kalkbrenner, Carl Cox, DVBBS and Deadmau5 & Eric Prydz's VS set last year.

It’s a secret most DJ's won't share with you. You won’t learn it in any DJ forum and you certainly won’t find it watching free 'How to be a DJ' video's on YouTube. The truth is all the 'so called' DJ/Tutor's on You Tube are not really interested in helping you, they're only really interested in showing you how good they are!
With so much mis-information about is it any wonder then why so many of us are left confused and frustrated after listening to and watching so many ‘self-confessed’ DJ experts who clearly have no real ‘hands on’ experience.

Britain's Got Talent 65-year-old DJ takes to the decks
A retired registrar-turned-DJ has stunned the Britain's Got Talent judges with her turn on the decks to win a place in the next stage of the competition.
Viewers saw 65-year-old Christine Tew whip off her beige cardigan and skirt to reveal a sequinned mini-dress as mixing decks were wheeled over to her by members of the stage crew.
After her audition, judge Alesha Dixon said: "If you need an MC ... It doesn't matter that you can't mix, that was brilliant."
Cowell added: "I always say I can't be surprised by these shows any more and you just mugged us.
