Recent surge in re-posts, double posts, your thoughts.

I've noticed recently that there are a few people re-posting stuff that already exists here. Mostly RockBand stuff that has either had stereo tracks split, been upsampled, DIY's added, or exact reposts. I've been leery of downloading any of it, because most have not looked kosher, and that seems to have been confirmed by people who thought they were getting something better than they already had, and posting comments to the contrary. I would be curious about what the other members here, as well as administrators, think about this?

There is only so much we can do.

    • When creating a new thread, you finishing typing the title a list of similar titled threads appear.
    • Including a URL already on the database within hide tags will not allow the thread to be posted.
    • We have clear buttons to report a thread with options to the reason why.
    • When a double post is found the original poster receives an infraction.
    • When a double post report is reviewed and approved the (first) reporting member receives their lost credit back.

Any reasonable suggestions are always welcomed.

I'm not knocking you, by any means, I've had to look after a few (primarily) static sites. I know a lot is involved in both maintaining and being an admin on a site, beyond, well, real life too.

WOW!!!! I JUST found the report button! I don't think that's clear to anyone here at all. The "Report as Dead Link" button is prominent, but you barely notice the report post link. As a suggestion, I would say scrap the triangle and make it a written word link, much like the rest, and with a hover over that gave examples of a reason to report a post, eg. profanity, double post, etc..
