    I quite like the Goldbaby sample packs for drum hits, especially the 909 one as a starting point. There are some lovely thumping saturated kicks in there. I like to Eq and layer other kicks on top as well, or a click/zap sound as is popular atm.
    Otherwise I tend to use my Tempest and sample it.

    Vengeance samples are heavily processed already... This gives instant good results, but in the context of a mix it's sometimes better to have more control with own processing. Less processed samples like the Goldbaby ones can often get better results with some compression, EQ, coloration and saturation.
