there seams to be a lot of previously hard to obtain song stems released, does anyone have any idea what others are floating about that have not been published yet ? I love the 80-90s disco stuff and it would be awesome to get my hands on some other stuff.

Is it s a disgruntled contact who was given these multis in confidence and then decided to share them with everybody?
Or they got stolen? What gives? I'm just curious, that's all.

Not only am I glad that I'm out of the trading scene, but I'm also glad that this last major leak happened so I can actually be excited for new leaks instead of feeling pissed when I see a song in trading get out to the public. About 80% of what I had got leaked out, but almost all those packs that leaked were really common anyways and pretty much in every trader's collection.
EDIT: TL;DR - DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH TRADING!!! Just be patient and wait for the leaks to happen. You may win the battle with trading, but in the end you'll lose the war. I've said that before and I will continue to say it.
You know i remember when we used to share tracks because we wanted to remix them and mashup with them. We shared because it helps the music scene, it helps build someone who just downloaded Logic or Audition and make them into artists. This is what this site is about.
At first that is exactly what I intended to do and I was going to get round to it, BUT family and life gets in the way I guess now I'm just becoming a collector looking for the time when I can actually do something with them, I have around 1000 of the things and I hope to make more use of them than just sitting on my hdd waiting to more than just, "in my collection"Quote:

The unfortunate truth is even if you are purchasing material from someone, there is no for sure way of knowing they are not selling to others. So the chance of leakage is always there. :/
None of us own this material so whatever happens shouldn't matter anyway. On the bright side, we are all supporters of music and share the love of the deconstruction of the audio. I myself am beyond grateful of how far we have come in the past 8 years with all of these audio goods.

I remember when somebody here was full of it saying that they won't share Thriller Studio Acapella because the internet would get flooded with crappy remixes if he did... But he did post his remix of it (it's completely out of tune :) ). And of course, the studio acapella leaked anyway some time later. And surprise, surprise, there was no flood. What I want to say? I'm OK with people who keep stuff for themselves because of certain conditions they agreed to when they received unleaked stuff. But if they come here boasting that they have something and they don't want to share... That's a dick move in my book.

Free given by the artist, old remix contests (for the non RB part-mixed stems), some 70s and early 80s full multitracks were given to students in some audio class and now leak out, some other are available in too many studios that they easily leaked (Madonna, Michael Jackson, etc) and the rest sold illegally by someone with access.Quote:

I have been curious for many years as to how the hell you even find these collectors to obtain multis from. I guess they're floating around in random places. Through a Madonna forum, I met a young guy in South America who has the multi-tracks of the 12" Extended Version of "Open Your Heart" by Madonna (which happens to be my favorite remix ever made); but I still wouldn't buy it. He said he paid a hefty sum for it, but is willing to trade a multi for it. I got nothin'. Strange community.
For me personally, any stems from the 80's are very welcome. Sure, I'm aging myself -
but it really is something special to hear the stems/multitracks 👍
There is much to learn from all those 80's tracks.
